I am off for a few days to the beautiful island of Kea (Tzai). It is the sort of place that William and Catherine might enjoy for a quiet and reflective break. It is an island of few tourists and mainland Greeks and is proud of its independence and easy pace of life………….perfect to re-charge after the recent reporting of royal events. As an aside take a look at the link regarding this lovely island…..

I read that Catherine has become the first member of our royal family to be listed on the Vanity Fair’s most stylish list. This is some feat as the list has been in existence for 72 years ! The interesting thing is that she has managed this in her own, understated style without being advised by a royal courtiers or professional stylists. This ability ‘to get it right’ shows she is a woman who knows her own mind and has good judgement, a welcome addition to the royal family which bodes well for the future. THE wedding dress showed this off perfectly, being classic and demure while managing to wow the world. Here is a reminder of the beautifully designed creation by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen……..

The reason I bring the dress up is my mole is telling me that beautiful figurine that I have mentioned is ready at last ! The ‘hi-res’ images are being made available this week of the finished piece and despite being ‘hostage to an island’ I will through endeavour bring you these exclusive pictures ! If anything else that is newsworthy appears, I will of course report with my views and opinions. If you want some pre-view images of the figurine please have a look at this website which celebrates the best of British in its fine display of collectibles.

So until I arrive I will be a little quiet but no doubt will soon give into temptation to share my musings………..’andio’ for the moment !
